An increasing number of mobile devices (principally mobile phones) are offering an internet browser capability. UTouchToPay enables a mobile device to provide a simple, secure means of payment for a product by means of a “hotspot” displayed on the device browser.

UTouchToPay

The primary purpose of this product is to facilitate low value payment for a product or service delivered via a mobile device.
A simple "click" on a browser hotspot (UTouchToPay) marks the beginning of the transaction.
The browser then awaits a response which will either grant or deny permission to proceed.
Proceeding will constitute the simple passing of the premium URL with one or many times access as defined for that request.
Appropriate security and procedures are enabled to:
·         Ensure the activity must have originated from the device so identified and not through fraudulent activity masquerading as the device.
·         Prevent the use of the “UTouchToPay” hotspot revealing personal or secure information relating to the device without confirmation from the user of the need and willingness to do so.
·         Prevent accidental multiple payments for the facility.
·         Ensure payments are received and made only as a result of an agreed successful transaction.
This combination of facilities, processes and events will provide a service whereby:
A provider wishes to charge a fee for text, an application, event, image or consequence of an activity on or through a mobile device, a “provider event”.
The provider contacts the company Value Transactions Pty Ltd and is provided with a “UtouchToPay application” to be included in their mobile device based application. This “UTouchToPay application” has an identifier to facilitate identification of the subsequent “provider event” to be released as a result of being initiated from an appropriate device through the provider’s application.
The company “UTouchToPay” records the provider details and the action to be allowed (respond with a token, URL or appropriately defined event) constituting the “provider event”.
A user initiates an interaction on their mobile device by an interaction with the “UTouchToPay” browser hotspot.
UTouchToPay identifies the user, the provider and the response requested.
The request is received and decoded. If the request is valid (determined by the hosting UTouchToPay system) the subsequent action is allowed (an appropriate response to the calling user application) and appropriate billing and disbursement records are made:
1.       To the provider
2.       To the user
3.       To the company “UTouchToPay”
